In Japan and many asian cultures, double cleansing is not only the norm, but a crucial part of any skin care regime, especially mine. Regardless of ones skin type, double cleansing has been proven to be an excellent way to not only maintain the skin, but also controls breakouts while breaking down impurities on the skin i.e. sebum buildup, dirt, makeup and daily environmental pollutants. Using this method leaves behind a healthier, softer and cleaner face. Double cleansing is about incorporating two cleansing methods; the first is using CHIKYU’s Facial Cleansing Oil and the second is using any one of CHIKYU’s Facial Cleansers.
On days in which you simply wish to pamper your skin and unwind after a long day (which I make time to do), you may also want to steam your face by using a heated face cloth after applying the Facial Cleansing Oil. This method is both soothing and hydrating and can refine the skins texture by instantly making it supple. To practice the method, please see “Facial Cleansing Face Steam” below.
METHOD ONE:
Dispense oil into clean, wet hands and massage onto face in order to dissolve makeup and impurities. Rinse off gently using a soft cloth and warm water (cold water will NOT be sufficient) and if you wish to proceed to METHOD TWO, please see below.
METHOD TWO: Because Chikyu’s Facial Cleansing Oil will remove surface debris from the skin, cleansing with a gentle cleanser as the second step will enhance the penetration of other actives to follow in the skin care regimen. You will only need a small amount of cleanser to accomplish this, so be frugal when dispensing and cleansing your face. When done cleansing, pat face dry and follow with one of Chikyu’s Products.
FACIAL CLEANSING FACE STEAM (pampering the skin):
Step One: Soak a clean washcloth in hot water.
Step Two: Massage Cleansing Oil onto freshly claensedmface.
Step Three: Wring face cloth gently and apply it on the face for 2-3 minutes. This allows the pores of the skin to open to release debris.
Step Four: Gently wipe off Cleansing Oil. If you wish, you may follow with one of CHIKYU’s products or simply let your skin be!
