Facial Toners (known as Lotion in Japan), are an important part of any skincare regime, yet it’s so often overlooked when caring for the skin. Toning the face has been a long, outstanding practice in Japan and practiced in my family for as long as I can remember. Using the correct toner is key as it not only preps the skin before applying face creams, lotions or serums, but it also provides much needed moisture by soothing and hydrating the skin and making instantly supple.
All Chikyu’s Facial Toners are made from pure botanical and fruit hydrosols (extracts) which are the byproducts of the steam distillation of plant matter during the process of making essential oils. In addition, our Toners are alcohol free, therefore will never dry out, nor will they wreak havoc on your precious skin. Chikyu Facial Toners will leave your skin so supple you will think you have already applied a face cream to your face!

Directions for Use: After washing face and patting dry, apply toner to skin with clean hands or cotton ball. After applying, gently pat face with hands. Doing this stimulates blood flow. Allow a few minutes for face to air dry before applying anything on face. For best results, follow with Facial Serum for Parched Skin.

– *Calendula is a well known for its therapeutic properties and beneficial for an array of skin ailments, especially dry skin.
– *Cucumbers are well known for there soothing, healing and anti-inflammatory effects on the skin.
– *Helichrysum is extremely respected for its skin healing properties and is known to aid in repairing older sun-damaged skin. It is very effective as an anti-microbial agent, anti-fungal agent, and for its ability to filter UV rays (although it is not to be considered a sun protection in this product).
– Hydrolyzed Oats are naturally derived by obtaining oligosaccharides (carbohydrates) and protein. It will impart a soft, cushiony feel on the skin, drying to a velvety smoothness on the skin.
– *Myrtle is especially best for treating wrinkles and is known for it’s anti-inflammatory properties.

Each CHIKYU product is made with purity in mind. Therefore, our products are made to order and handcrafted in small increments without the use of harmful toxic agents or chemically derived preservatives. I would like to start by saying how fortunate I feel for finding this shop. Recently, due to concerns with chemicals and GMO’s, and switching to more care with what I eat I also started reading labels more carefully. Also thanks to my mother, who has been saying it for a while with concern to food and products we use in our homes and on our bodies. The shop owner is phenomenal in regard to customer service, fast shipping, excellent presentation- I seriously felt like I was opening a Christmas present and I loved the extra’s that also are allowing me to try things out. The toner is wonderful. I love the light scent and that there is no painful burning or skin irritation. The toner also importantly does not dry out my skin, and the ingredients are UNCOMPARABLE to what I have seen in stores.

I love Chikyu’s other products, but I found the scent of the toner off-putting. It’s a strong green cucumber-like scent that just didn’t appeal to me. The packaging, as always, is beautiful! I will continue to be a customer.
