❗Note: The Organic Grapeseed Oil used in this Cleansing Oil is extracted without solvents or any kind of chemical processing. The oil is obtained by cold pressing followed by a thorough filtration, maintaining the components of the oil. With this in mind, the variation of color in this Cleansing Oil may vary between a very fair to medium light green.

FACIAL CLEANSING OIL METHODS:
In many asian cultures, double cleansing is not only the norm, but a crucial part of any skin care regime and one of the most important things you can do to keep skin looking radiant. Regardless of ones skin type, double cleansing has been proven to be an excellent way to not only maintain the skin, but also controls breakouts while breaking down impurities on the skin i.e. sebum buildup, dirt, makeup and daily environmental pollutants. Using this method leaves behind a healthier, softer and cleaner face. Double cleansing is about incorporating two cleansing methods; the first is using CHIKYU’s Facial Cleansing Oil and the second is using any one of CHIKYU’s Facial Cleansers.
On days in which you simply wish to pamper your skin and unwind after a long day (which I make time to do), you may also want to steam your face by using a heated face cloth after applying the Facial Cleansing Oil. This method is both soothing and hydrating and can refine the skins texture by instantly making it supple. To practice the method, please see “Facial Cleansing Face Steam” below.
🔸METHOD ONE:
Dispense oil into clean, wet hands and massage onto face in order to dissolve makeup and impurities. Rinse off gently using a soft cloth and warm water (cold water will NOT be sufficient) and if you wish to proceed to METHOD TWO, please see below.
🔸METHOD TWO: Because Chikyu’s Facial Cleansing Oil will remove surface debris from the skin, cleansing with a gentle cleanser such as Chikyu’s Botanical Elixir, as the second step will enhance the penetration of other actives to follow in the skin care regimen. You will only need a small amount of cleanser to accomplish this, so be frugal when dispensing and cleansing your face. When done cleansing, pat face dry and follow with one of Chikyu’s Products.
🔸FACIAL CLEANSING FACE STEAM (pampering the skin):
Step One: Soak a clean washcloth in hot water.
Step Two: Massage Cleansing Oil onto face.
Step Three: Wring face cloth gently and apply it on the face for 2-3 minutes. This allows the pores of the skin to open to release debris.
Step Four: Gently wipe off Cleansing Oil. If you wish, you may follow with one of CHIKYU’s products or simply let your skin be!
📢 For those experiencing dry skin, rub Chikyu’s Facial Cleansing Oil over entire face and leave on for 20-30 minutes to allow the oils to be absorbed into the skin. Wash the Facial Cleansing Oil off with one of Chikyu’s Facial Cleansers (excluding the Deep Pore) and pat face dry. Your skin will not only be soft and supple, but glowing!

This oil is perfect to use as part of a double cleanse. It removes your makeup gently yet thoroughly. I use Chikyu’s Pure Earth Facial Wash (which I first received as a sample, then had to order because now I find it indispensable!) as the second part of the double cleanse. The facial oil is a bit too filmy (oily) to use on its own, but perfect followed by the facial wash.

I really appreciate how much my skin has changed from using this in combination with chikyu’s rice pearl cleanser. Finding affordable organic skincare is difficult because of having to read through the ingredients and making sure it also aligns with your values. My mom and I love using this oil to cleanse our skin!! She has mature, somewhat dry skin and I have oily T-zone, acne prone skin. It works well on both of us. We use a wet towel to wipe it off afterwards. I never skip using it for my AM & PM skincare routine. This has become an essential part of it!! A little goes a long way too. However, you ordered the “1oz trial/travel size” which does not come in a glass bottle nor does it state that it does in the product description. Aside from you not liking the bottle, I do hope you enjoyed the Cleansing Oil!

I was lucky enough to have Lynn include a sample of this cleansing oil in my last order. I bought a full size yesterday! It’s amazing. Most cleansing oils would clog my pores (I’m acne prone, combo skin) but this cleansing oil has been fantastic. I use it as my first cleanse now and use it as the base to make a paste with the Rice and Root Enzyme powder. Beautiful light rose scent. I massage it into my face for a good 3 minutes and can feel it lift stubborn blackheads and dry skin out. I’m very impressed and will continue purchasing this product.
